Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame
I have played drums with the Weasels for about 8 years now, they are a local Kansas City 80's cover band. They are the nicest buch you will meet. The history goes like this.
Formed for fun in 1991, the Weasels were co-workers at the Sunflower Group in Kansas City. Some of us still are. In fact, 6 of the 7 Weasels on stage in LA (at the 9th Annual FORTUNE Magazine Battle of the Corporate Bands) were Sunflower Group employees. Despite that "company band-ness" people still (repeatedly) show up for Weasel gigs. And they stick around, kinda like Sunflower Group employees.
The Weasels have entered the Corporate Battle of the Bands for several years and I have never been allowed to go due to my once professional history. This changed this year as the rules slightly changed and they wrote the Hall and told them my history and when they found out it was Bad Manners they said "sure", don't know how to take that!
I am very excited to be a part of this, it is going to be so much fun. The Key Club was a regional final, 4 bands were picked to go fourth to Ohio, we were one of them. We submitted a cd recorded at Tommy's place in St. Joseph Missouri.
Below are the three tracks that got us to the regionals, also check out the articles in the Kansas City Star.
