Getting ready to play Davey's Uptown Ramblers Club with
The Johnson County Allstars. We play tonight, Friday 9th at 8:30pm.
First on as we are getting on a bit.
NOJOCO plays obscure tracks from Wilko, Uncle Tupelo, Sun Volt, REM, Johnny Cash and Bryan Adams. The band is Hamp Henning, Sam Dominguez, Dave Murphy and me. If you have never been to Davey's, it's great.
It's hole in the wall with a killer sound system situated on the corner of 3402 Main St. Kansas City, MO 64111, facing what used to be Ray's Playpen, (which is now a launderette). So I suppose it's gone from being a very dirty place to a clean one! Davey's has been serving alcohol since 1925, legally since 1934.
